My Story
My story is unlike most, definitely, I can say that I’ve loved exploring the Scentsy world for years now but how I got here has been a struggle. If you know me you’ll be familiar with what I’m going to say, for others this may surprise you.
After graduating from Mining Engineering, I was fortunate enough to get a job in my field almost immediately. I started working for a huge Mining company and met the love of my life there, we have a beautiful family, a daughter and a son. A millionaires family is what they say...because it’ll cost you that much in the long run! I loved my job, I loved the people I worked with, I met amazing people who remain in my life today.
Then, one day, like any other normal day, we descended underground to complete our tasks, like we’d done everyday before. Then at 8:10 am in the morning a freak accident occurred, changing my life and my family’s life forever. I’ll spare you the details and just tell you that I was taken to the hospital by ambulance, and sent home. No broken bones, and I was lucky to be alive.
Fast forward 13 years, after seeing countless doctors and specialists, and any and every type of healer out there, I remain the same...chronic pain and all the ailments that go along with it. At just 2 and 5 years old my children had to live with and learn to love a very different mommy. No more walks to the park, no bike riding, no jumping on the trampoline and no more being picked up to comfort and hold. My husband became the only working adult, the house keeper, chef, bike rider, and the fun maker.
Today, my children are fun, smart, loving 19 and 16 year olds and I’m still happily married to the love of my life. My health remains the same, although I’ve learned how to manage the pain and be careful no to push myself to the breaking point, I still struggle from time to time. Not working in my field has been difficult for me to come to terms with, I started working when I was just 12 years old and love how it made me feel about myself.
Back to Scentsy, I finally have something new to focus on, something that I know will enrich my life and give me a new purpose. I joined to learn something new, meet new people, and maybe get some perks for myself and my family, who also love Scentsy.
My future looks bright and smells amazing. My husband and children are already so proud of me, and I am too.
I just celebrated my first Scentiversary, on July 13th, wow, this year has flown by! I have 4 new recruits and accomplished Level 3 of the Keep Going, Keep Growing Incentive. I am having the time of my life, and I’m looking forward to sharing this amazing opportunity with as many people as I can! My next goal is to attend SFR 2022 in Salt Lake City, Utah and to win the next Incentive trip and go on a Cruise with my husband and fellow team members!
